There are no changes from the last stay at home order to this one

The park is open and occupancy is permitted as per the term of the leases however subjected to the guidelines imposed by the STAY-AT-HOME ORDER where a member can attend/stay for less than 24 hours for an essential purpose or if using their 21 days or a portion of as long as it is in excess of 14 days. Once the park opens for the season on May 1st the same applies, less than 24 hours or a minimum of 14 consecutive days. In other words, weekend occupancy in excess of 24 hours or any number of days that are less than 14 is not permitted under the order. Any breaches won’t be a breach of park rules; however, it will be a breach of the government order and therefore subjected to government enforcement and penalties. The park will not nor is permitted to enforce the order, the OPP is.

Moving and travelling:

  • Travelling is permitted to another location if the person intends to stay there less than 24 hours and is doing so for one of the other purposes set out in the order.
  • Otherwise, travelling to another residence is only allowed if an individual intends to stay there for at least 14 days.

Due to the restrictions imposed by the Health Department, members occasionally visiting from other areas and a difficulty in scheduling continued disinfection during the holidays, of the Recreation Centre, pool area, change rooms and washrooms, all common areas of the park will be in lockdown from December 23, 2020 to January 4, 2021.

 

Should the area be moved into the Grey Level the lockdown will continue.

Phases 1 & 2 Opening on Saturday, May 16 at 12:01 A.M.

Yesterday, Premier Doug Ford announced that the Government of Ontario will begin Stage One of Reopening the Economy.

The government also announced that additional seasonal services and activities will be permitted to open as early as Saturday, May 16 in time for the Victoria Day long weekend.

Private Parks and campgrounds may open to enable preparation for the season and to allow access for trailers whose owners have a full season contract.

Maple Leaf Acres has received confirmation from the Health Department and as such it will open phases 1 & 2 to all members starting Saturday May 16 at 12:01 A.M.

 

We have yet to receive any additional guidelines from the Health Department, however please continue to ensure compliance with all applicable legislation such as gatherings of no more than 5 people and strong recommendation on physical distancing.

Maple Leaf Acres Member’s Association continues to make every effort to do our part in response to the COVID 19 pandemic. Ensuring that the Association and each of our Members take necessary steps to safeguard the health of our Members and staff.

Although boat launches are permitted to open, the Association needs additional time to safely be able to open our boat access facility.

For the time being all common areas will remain off limits. As we receive additional guidelines, we will forward them to all members. Please follow us on our web site at mapleleafacres.ca
